Many individuals as well as organizations from all over the world have contributed with various means. National Information Technology Center has also put an utmost into recovery efforts aimed at supporting at safety of digital data by building a disaster recovery center in Hetauda with the help of Korean Government (Korean International Co-operation Agency). The building construction was started few months after the earthquake and is targeted to come into operation by beginning of next year. Besides, NITC is providing ICT consultancy service to various government organizations working on disaster and other e-Government initiatives.

NITC’s journey of 14 years is a journey of progress, growth and high achievement among the peers. However,as Thomas Alva Edison has said, ‘you can always do better’. Keeping in lieu of this we must strive towards performing better.

‘What could we do better?’

Over the years, we have learned much about what needs to be done and how to do it. It is our vision that with the use of ICT we cancontribute to making the country smarterby facilitating ICT enabled Delivery of all Government Services (G2G, G2B & G2C etc.) from traditional modes to integrated electronic modes brings value added services to citizens and businesses resulting atransparent, accountable, and efficient government.

In Regards to this, National Information Technology Center is planning to extend its wings to six other parts of the country to provide better facility, curtail technology bottleneck and cost effective service delivery through ICT.

The campaign for a smarter government through the use of ICT can only be achieved if other agencies of the government; people of our country as well as international community supports this initiative. We are very much thankful for the co-operation and supports received so far and expect even more in future. Besides, the stability of our team members, the technical ability and the creativity of our talented staff, the dynamism of our field has all fortified our collective dedication, which will work as a backbone.
